This version is for 2x8 pieces of wood. We sell another vesion that is for 2x6's.
NOTE: This unit uses a bearing system to allow it to pivot on both sides, unlike other brands.
You must also purchase a 2x8 from a local lumber store to use as a guide board. Make sure that the 2x8 that you purchase is dried out and the Boardmaster slides down easily. Sometimes if the board is wet, it will draw in water and cause the guide board to be tight to the Boardmaster. REMEMBER the dried 2x8 is used for the straight edge. Also, the 2x8 is really 1 1/2 by 7 1/4, standard from the lumber yard. Then simply screw the board to the log and use it as the guide.

Drilling your chainsaw bar is required. (2 holes) Measure approx. 3-4 inches up the bar and the center of the mount will go there. Mark the 2 holes and drill the bar there. Bolt on after holes are drilled and your ready to go. Bolts are supplied.
Comes with the bolts to attach to your saw. The Boardmaster has sealed bearings for the swivel points. Other similar units do not use bearing pivots.
