We just bought out a long time Phoenix surplus electronics distributor. All of these parts are
absolutely "as new", most are aerospace quality, and most are leading traditional American
brands. The bulk of the items are unused production overstock. Offered items are not ROHS
Reed relays offer extreme reliability, low noise and minimum contact bounce, are nonsparking,
and have low operating currents. Offered here are one of the finest traditional Magnecraft brands
of reed relays of an item still in current production and normally selling for $2.70 or more at distributors.
Magnecraft W171DIP4 is a 14-pin DIP sized relay with a 12 volt coil and a SPST normally open reed
The coil resistance is 1200 Ohms, meaning a ten milliampere operating current. The contacts are
limited to switching ten watts maximum, but can block 200 volts or switch half an amp. Maximum
non-switched current is 1.2 amps. Pins 2 and 6 ( counting the missing pins on a standard 16 pin
DIP clounterclockwise from the top ) are the coil. Pins 1 and 14 are left end of the SPST contact,
while pins 7 and 8 are the right end.
Standard DIP package footprint with pins on 0.1 inch centers. Package is a quarter inch high and
thus higher than standard integrated circuits. Black epoxy package. Internal protection diode is
Guaranteed usable. Received by us in very clean and as new condition as loose distributor stock.
May include very minor storage cosmetics. Some pins may occasionally need minor adjustment.
