This manual came from my grandfather's Autoelectric and magneto shop. He owned an American Bosch Factory Authorized Service Center.
I tried to take pictures of the tabs that show what each section of the book covers so I will not try to list everything. The book is in useable "Shop" condition, it has the expected yellowing of some of the paper, water stains on some pages and some smudges from hands with grease on them. Many of the tabs are worn off or damaged. The cover is rough. But man is information THERE!
There is a wealth of information about magnetos and how to service them, including Some really technical issues such as changing the rotation of a mag, setting the Timing range, impulse coupling retard and interchange, Lag angle and E Gap, plus service adjustments to name a few. It has many fold out pages of exploded view diagrams in great detail.
There are many factory issued service bulletins and updates he received over the years...Starting in the Early 1930's and ending in the 1970's
This book not only cover Magneto repair in great detail, But also Generators (INCLUDING CATERPILLAR), Winshield wiper motors, mechanical regulators, seat adjustment motors, Battery ignition units for Two Cylinder John Deere, Refacing and undercutting commutators, and MUCH, MUCH more!

Grandpa never threw any book (or anything) away in the more than 50 years he ran the shop, and I ended up with more than 60 complete manuals covering everything from Magnetos, electrical, starter - generator rebuilding, speedometers and carburetion.
