Here is a Antique Rheostat. Made and patented in Chicago,Illinose. It has metal label with dates 1907 - 1915 The National Rheostat. Not sure of it's purpose. It looks to be used to controll electric current to sometype of electrical device. Nice old early electrical device. By turning counter clockwise it will raise the voltage. Perhaps to a electric chair???? lol Just kidding! I dunno. It turns either way and looks to be in good condition with some paint chips and minor surface rust. It measures 5" in diameter.x 3" from legs on up. It has mount legs for wall, etc. Any input will be appreciated and forwarded as I know nothing of this item. Thanks for looking!
