The soft starter allows the user to apply adjustable voltage to the motor, in order to reduce the current, in order to gradually ramp up to full voltage and speed and conversely allows the user to gradually ramp down for a soft stop. At full voltage it runs at 45kW with an armature current of 86A. Mounted in an IP00 chasis.
