The Model 7020 and 7020-D Digital I/O Interface Cards feature 40 independent digital inputs and 40 independent outputs to provide high-density, cost-effective digital monitoring and control. Versatile design and configuration I/O options provide compatibility with a wide range of signals and loads. Internal pull-up resistors on the inputs provide level shifting so microswitches can be monitored directly. Each input is protected against overvoltage, so logic levels up to 42V peak can be monitored. Digital outputs can drive relatively high-current devices, including solenoids, relays, and small motors, without the need for additional control circuitry. Outputs can be configured to use the 5.3Vdc internal source, or an external source of up to 25Vdc to drive higher power devices. Each output channel is protected against spikes for reliable, noise-free control of inductive loads. The 7020 includes a 96-pin mass terminated connector. The 7020-D has two heavy-duty 50-pin D-sub connectors for industrial/production applications where repeated connects/disconnects are required.
