This RTSN400G3 is an Automatic Transfer switch designed to be mounted after the Main Disconnect. This unit is rated Nema 3R outdoor enclosure. This unit is designed to transfer power of a 400 Amp Service drop. This would allow the use of all circuits connected to the business. However, the generator output would determine who many amps could be used at the same time. The advantage of this type of transfer switch is being able to run any circuit in the home.
As this unit is Not service entrance rated, you will connect the switch after the Main disconnect. The unit is a painted metal housing.
