The Model 227 Differential Pressure Indicator measures liquid flow or liquid level, and is designed to be
permanently installed into the process system.
For flow measurement, the instrument is connected to the low and high pressure sides of a primary device
located in the process run. The primary device may be an orifice plate, a venturi tube, or a flow tube.
For liquid level measurements, the instrument is connected to measure changes in a differential pressure
relative to variations of liquid height in a vessel.
The Model 227A is actuated by a Barton Model 224 Differential Pressure Unit (DPU).
The indicator dial is a 6-inch dial with an extended 13½ inch scale. The pointer traverses a 270 degree arc
to measure differential pressure, flow, or liquid level.
The indicator movement ZERO and SPAN adjustments are micrometer-type and may be set without removing
the scale plate or the indicating pointer.
The DPU pressure housing connections are standard pipe connections and are designed for
permanent installation into the system.
