Rubber isolation mounting feet - rotary phase converter

Set of 4 - Rubber Isolation Mounting Feet
... for use with American Rotary's Baldor Phase Converter Generator 3HP - 10HP
* GENTEC American Rotary's Phase Converters are sold separately.
These feet are made of the best isotropic vibration damping material available. They are chemical and heat resistant. The set of 4 come with the proper bolts and washers to fit with our custom generators 3HP-10HP.

The noise that is produced by running a rotary phase converter can be placed into four categories:
1. Mechanical noise: This type of noise (vibration) is caused by mechanical vibration due to rotating mass and can be reduced by properly insulating the motor generator frame from the mounting structure. Bolting any motor generator to a rigid structure or floor will also cause the bearings to take the small vibrations instead of the rubber feet, which will ultimately reduce the life of the bearings. These mounting feet are made of the best isotropic vibration damping material available and virtually eliminate mechanical noise.
2. Electromagnetic noise: This type of noise (humming or buzzing) is caused by unbalanced voltages and currents in the windings. Electromagnetic noise additionally can cause mechanical noise. American Rotary precision balances each phase and thus nearly eliminates electromagnetic noise.
3. Bearing noise: This type of noise is caused by friction in the ball bearings and is most commonly found in motors manufactured in China - as are most stock TEFC and ODP motors. American Rotary's custom Baldor phase converter generators are manufactured with precision high speed bearings in the United States virtually eliminating bearing noise.
4. Aerodynamic noise: This type of noise is caused by air movement created by the fan used to cool a rotary motor or generator. (TEFC motors are particularly loud because they require a large amount of air for cooling.) American Rotary's custom Baldor generators are so efficient at cooling themselves, the fan required to move the air is very small thus greatly reducing any aerodynamic noise.
