These solenoid valves are designed solely for gravity-fed systems. They can be used for draining water and other low viscosity fluids out of tanks, canisters, and containers. These valves are brand new and come with a 90-day warranty.
These valves are designed for gravity-fed systems only and they will NOT work with pump pressure. The maximum height difference between the fluid surface and valve is 24" regardless of tank size. Water column heights over 24" create an excessive pressure and the valve will not open. The pressure created by a water column is a function of the height of the water column (the volume of container does NOT affect the pressure at all). For example: a one gallon tank which is 5 feet high creates an excessive pressure for this valve, but a two thousand gallon tank that is no more than 24" tall can be drained with this valve without a problem.
