ITEM: JORDAN Model Mark 707 Control Valve, ½", 5-17 PSI Reverse Acting (Air to Open, 5-17 PIS is the standard "Pre-load" range provided by Jordan on Air-to-Open valves - see below), Brass Body 303SS Trim, Jorcote Seat, Equal Percentage, 100:1 Rangeability, 2.5Cv, 500psi Max 325 PSI @ 500ºF Max Temperature, w/ Original Installation and maintenance Instructions.
NOTE: About the 5-17 PSIG range, Jordan Valve Says: "When a reverse acting pneumatic valve with a 3-15 PSI range is used with an I/P transducer (with a 4-20 mA range), it is often necessary to provide a preload to the actuator stem to prevent the zero value (4 mA) of the I/P from lifting the valve plug or disc and permitting seat leakage. Consequently, all Jordan air-to-open (reverse acting) diaphragm control valves are assembled so that they operate from 5 PSIG (just closed) to 17 PSIG (full open) instead of the standard 3-15 PSIG range used on direct acting valves."
