This online course is a complete Training Series designed to help electrical maintenance and engineering personnel completely understand, program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) using the MicroLogix 1000 for examples. The complete Training Series provides approximately 18 hours of instructional material divided into two main sections. The topics covered in the two sections are equivalent to a typical 5-day PLC Training Course. The third part is a testing system on CD. It has a huge database of questions. It has both graded tests and quizzes that retry the questions until you get it right. The Video training itself is specific to the MicroLogix 1000 & the programming examples are shown using RSLogix 500 software - but the concepts are easy to apply to a wide range of PLCs.
The complete package is three components:
1) 5 Video Modules that you watch online (Windows Media Player) + a Student Workbook that you download (pdf) on "Understanding & Programming the MicroLogix 1000".
2) 4 Video Modules that you watch online (Windows Media Player) + a Student Workbook that you download (pdf) on "Installation, Start-up, Maintenance & Troubleshooting".
3) ECS Software (download a zip file and install on your computer). Computer based testing software with 855 questions that cover all aspects of the MicroLogix 1000 controller.
The student reference handbooks - one for each section are packed with job aids, checklists, diagrams and tech tips.

The video can be viewed online for 60 days. The workbooks are downloaded in Adobe "PDF" format. It can be viewed or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader - available for free at the Adobe website. You keep the workbooks as long as you want. The ECS Testing System is a downloaded "Zip" file that you install on your computer. You can keep it as long as you want.
