The matrix LED display comprises 4 (Four) seven segment digital readout.
The beauty, each segment, decimal point, and column order is addressed by the pins.
Also available are the double decimal points used in LED clock displays, that blink.
This basically means each display has all pins available for addressing to your choice.
I have split the digits to yield 2 double digit LED's, they operate correctly.
The pins allow you to insert in a socket or remove and solder directly to the board.
Each digit measures 3/8" High x 1/4" Wide perfect for small confined spaces.
