The 188A test set uses electronics and high voltage mechanical design to indicate the presence of dangerously high AC and DC voltages. The 188A does this by comparing the voltage difference between the user's body and the object being tested to an internal safety reference. If the voltage difference exceeds this reference, the 188A will indicate danger.
