This is an HPS/MKS stainless steel, right angle, KF-25, two stage, "soft start" high vacuum valve. It is appears to never have been installed or used.

This is a two-stage valve, essentially two valves in parallel in one compact package. The low-conductance (in this case, a variable one) bypass can be used to carry out a "soft" initial chamber pumpdown with reduced turbulent flow, and the main valve can then be opened for full conductance once an appropriate pressure has been obtained. This functionality is particularly desirable for processes sensitive to particulates.
As received by the seller, this valve had HPS protective flange caps in place, but was not in a sealed bag, so he cannot guarantee that it is new. It does not, however, exhibit any signs of having ever been used - no Teflon tape residue on the pipe threads, no solder on the position indicator switches, etc. It is visually immaculate on the inside (inspected through both ports). The sealing surfaces are flawless. Overall cosmetic condition is very nice as well.
