This is a Shinko electromechanical brake/clutch in good working order. Type BO-3.5-25 / DC24V 4W / 5Kgcm / 3N. This could be used, but I really don’t know. On my variable test bench power supply, it does energize & lock as it should. This appears to be a very high quality brake. The specifications are available at:
